A few screen captures from Paramount Pictures 1949 production of – “Samson and Delilah”

Another cinematic spectacle produced and directed by Cecil B. DeMille.

Filming locations included – the Alabama Hills (Samson & Delilah riding in their chariot – but probably their doubles), a scene where the Alabama Hills were pasted in as a backdrop while they rode their chariot, another piece of Hollywood magic where the Philistines were marching through the Alabama Hills.

Starring  – Victor Mature, the young and gorgeous Hedy Lamarr and Angela Lansbury, George Sanders, Henry Wilcoxon, Olive Deering, and a host of others.
